This shoot is part of an ongoing series on artists that are inspired by the ocean for their work.
For this story I visited Mt Maunganui, the home town of glass sculptor Ben Young. It had been a year since I last visited Ben which was just before his second child was born and ahead of the biggest year in his art practice to date. His work is incredible and I know I’m not the only one that believes he deserves every bit of the increasing following of fans and gallery representation from around the world.
It’s super inspiring to see the ocean play such a huge role in Ben’s life. He rips on a surfboard so with relaFrom artwork inspiration to moments of relaxas looming deadlines and raising 2 kids with his lovely wife Jade
So it was nice to catchup with a dawny at his local.
